Tent Show projects are part of the Contextual Practice area in the School of Art at Carnegie Mellon University. Contextual Practice classes at CMU engage students in the production of art that has a direct, conscious and sometimes catalytic relationship to the place it exists in and the audience it relates to. The Contextual Practice concentration offers students ongoing opportunities to research and produce experimental works in the public sphere and develop new venues and audiences for art.
